BSB Win Teen Choice Awards
This past weekend, the second annual Teen Choice Awards were taped. The Backstreet Boys came out with one award for Album Of The Year for their album "Millennium." There is no word on whether any of the Backstreet Boys showed up at the awards show. Other big winners included N Sync, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and Freddie Prinze Jr. The Teen Choice Awards air on Tuesday, August 22nd on FOX.

Teen People's Celebrity Beauty Awards
In the current September 2000 issue of Teen People, you'll see who won their vote for best lips, eyes, hair, skin and more. Kevin Richardson won the vote for Best Facial Hair with actor Brad Pitt. Other winners included Jessica Simpson, Drew Barrymore and Laura Prepon for Most Natural Beauties. The magazine is on newstands now.

Tyke and Litty (Brian's Chihuahuas) are Missing
Missing:
Tyke: Chihuahua, male, blonde/cream, approximately 4lbs.
Litty: Chihuahua, female, blonde/cream, approximately 3lbs.
These two dogs have been missing from their Atlanta, GA area home since the afternoon of Wednesday, July 19th. If you have any information on their whereabouts PLEASE contact the webmaster or BSB@artistdirect.com. These dogs mean the world to their owners and we appreciate your help in finding them. Tyke and Litty are back home
From www.olive-juice.com: To those who helped with the recovery of Tyk Thomas and Litty Leigh.... thank you. The two dogs were found in different places and they are now safe in the hands of their owners Leighanne and Brian.

AJ Visits TRL
AJ recently visited MTV's Total Request Live set with Carson Daly. He revealed that the new BSB album, slated for a mid-September release, will have some rock, R&B, hip hop and some country rolled all into one. Meanwhile, the Boys are just writing right now. "Howie [Dorough]'s working with Babyface," on some songs for the upcoming album. AJ also revealed that Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson's instrumental talents will be displayed on the album. AJ has been spending his downtime raising money and awareness for VH1's Save The Music campaign as alter-ego "Johnny No Name." So far, AJ has raised for than $150, 000 for the campaign through his solo performances. AJ is slated to join the Boys back in the studios July 1.

AJ To Host Miss United States Teen Competition
AJ McLean will co-host the Miss United States Teen Competition with Miss America 1999, Nicole Johnson. The show will feature performances by the Backstreet Boys, Christian Davis, and girl group BabyGirl. The show will be taped from the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida on July 22. As for the show, it will air in September. Tickets to the event are available at Ticketmaster.

Top 10 Music Video Performers
Last night (June 17), the annual ALMA awards aired on ABC, which is an awards ceremony to salute Latino's in the entertainment business. A Top 10 Music Video Performers clip was featured. The Backstreet Boys were named one of the Top 10. Other performers named were Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Christina Aguilera, N Sync and Gloria Estefan.

The guys are ready to record...
According to MTV, the Backstreet Boys will have some downtime until July 1, when the Boys are back in the recording studios in Swedan to officially begin work on their next album with producer Max Martin (Britney Spears, N Sync). "We've been in the studio already, writing and doing some demos, but I think these are going to be some actual takes that we're going to do for mastering for the album," explains Howie. "I've heard the stuff already from Swedan, and I've written a couple of things myself along with the guys. We just did a trip down to the Bahamas, where we all five wrote together for the first time as a group, and hopefully we've got a lot of great stuff we're going to surprise everybody with." AJ revealed in a recent interview that the next album would have some rock, R&B, hip hop and some country in it.

Kevin Ties The Knot
Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson has said "I Do" to his longtime girlfriend Kristin Willis. The happy couple wed on Saturday in a small, private ceremony in Lexinton, Kentucky at Estill County's Catherdral Domain, the church camp that Kevin's late father, Jerald Richardson, used to own. "It was a beautiful, simple ceremony," Kevin's brother Tim Richardson said. Tim had a chance to perform at the ceremony, while Jerald Jr., Kevin's older brother played the role of best man. The rest of the Backstreet Boys were in attendance on Kevin's special day. There was about 150 to 200 guests, including family and friends. Kevin and Kristin are planning to have a more public wedding celebratin later in the year in Los Angeles. Kevin and Kristin met while working at Disney together seven years ago. Kristin is a dancer and has danced for such acts as Cher. While the happy couple is on their honeymoon, The Boys (including Kevin) are expected to be back in the studios by July 1 working with producer Max Martin on their upcoming album.

Howie Benefits Lupus
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Howie Dorough hosted Lupus 2000 on Sunday (June 25) honoring his late sister Caroline, who lost her life to lupus. "My sister passed away two years ago," Dorough explains. "Instead of taking this as a negative, really sad thing. I'm trying to turn it into a positive. I know that's what she would have wanted." The event featured 15 acts and drew an approximate 800 people that raised more than $100, 000 at the event held at Universal's CityWalk in Florida. Two people even bid $15, 000 each to have dinner with Howie. Celebrities in attendance included Freddie Prinze Jr. to Greg Brady, and included donations from Gloria Estefan, Mariah Carey, and Sting. Throughout the show, things got emtionational for Howie when he sang a duet with his sister Pollyanna called "Fly To Heaven" and the Backstreet Boys' song "My Heart Stays With You." The grand finale of the show featured AJ McLean singing "Brick House" and sharing the stage with all the performers of the night including Deborah Gibson and Tito Puente Jr. Other performers included Barry Williams who was a big hit, as well as Greg Brady of The Brady Bunch singing "We Are The Champions." Making Of The Band's O-Town members showed up at the event debuting their first stage performance with O-Town member Jacob Underwood's curly locks were dyed red. O-Town is going on a cross-country radio tour and will have two songs featured on the Pokemon sequel. Debbie Gibson was happy to perform at the event since she had met Howie during the time he was going through his sister's death. Howie did reveal that he attended fellow-Backstreet Boy member Kevin Richardson's wedding in Kentucky last week. The Boys did not end up singing. "Kevin was crying too much, so he couldn't sing. He's a very emotional guy. All of us were very emotional guy. He's like a brother."

AJ is not engaged
In a recent issue of the Orlando Sentinal, an Orlando newspaper, AJ McLean's mother, Denise, confirms that AJ is not engaged to his longtime girlfriend, actress-singer Amanda Latona. There were also rumors going around about Amanda being pregnant, these rumors are also not true. The Boys are currently in the Bahamas working on their next album.

Nick is beutiful
The magazine People has been lately choosing 50 more beautiful persons all over the world. Nick has been chose as one of them.. ain't that cute?.. you can see one of the pics that will appear in that magazine here

BSB win Kids Chice Awards
The 13th Annual Kid's Choice Awards were held last April 15. The Backstreet Boys won Favorite Musical Group. The Boys reportedly did attend the awards show though. Congratulations Boys! Other winners included Adam Sandler, Will Smith, Smashmouth, Jennifer Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart among others. Performers included Jennifer Lopez, N Sync, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. Other attendants included Robert DeNiro, Mel Gibson, Rider Strong, 98 Degrees, LFO, Carly Pope and Julia Louis-Dreyfus among others.

Men Strike Back
VH1 men Strike Back was taped last week. Several artists were in there, as Enrique iglesias, Sting,Backstreet Boys, Tom Jones, D'Angelo, Sisqo, and special guest Christina Aguilera. The guys singed "I Want It That Way" with Sting. They also sang "Show Me the Meaning Of Being Lonely", "The One" and the chorus for one of the Sting songs. Wanna see some pics? Click here. Tom Jones a backstreet Boys Fan
According to Jam! Music, Tom Jones, 59, is a fan of the Backstreet Boys. "I've got both their albums and I would love to cover one of their songs," Tom Jones told TV Guide's April 15 issue. Tom Jones is responsible for such hits like "Sex Bomb" He would like to know how the Backstreet Boys get their "incredible sound." Tom Jones was considered a sex symbol in the 1960's and 70's. He had similar devoted female fans during his time of super stardom.

Howie surprises his fans
One the first day of AJ's Johnny No-Name tour, AJ said that he had a surprise near the end of the show. Fellow band member Howie came out and surprised all the fans. Not only that, Howie also sang backup vocals to one of Johnny's songs.

AJ's not engaged
According to the BSB band official website,www.bsbband.com AJ's not engaged.He was mis-quoted in the press. The real story is this: Although he fells very close to Amanda, and hopes that she will turn out to be the one that he shares his life with, He feels that they are both too young to make a decision like getting married right now. And they have no plans to do so in the immediate future. AJ says that he wants to settle down and have kids at some point, but not now.

AJ Goes Solo
According to AllPop, AJ announced he will be doing a solo tour again as his alter-ego, "Johnny Suede", now known as "Johnny No-Name". For the record, AJ is not leaving the Backstreet Boys, this is just something AJ is doing "outside" of the Backstreet Boys. AJ is gonna bring with him the BSB's band and as opening acts, percussionist Mindy Abair and L.A. girl group Nobody's Angel.

BSB win Juno Award
The Backstreet Boys won Best Selling Album (Foreign and Domestic). When the Boys' name was called up for Best Selling Album, AJ was so happy he did a cart-wheel onstage before getting his award.
